Gary ary Borger is a botany professor at the University
of Wisconsin Center, Wausau, and has fished for trout throughout the United States and abroad. Combining his angling talents and teaching skills, Gary has become one of fly fishing's top instructors. He has taught fly fishing schools and lectured internationally on all aspects of fly fishing for trout. A free-lance writer and active member of the Outdoor Writer's Association of America, Gary is also Midwest Field Editor for Fly Fisherman Magazine and a columnist for Fly Tyer Magazine. He has written two books on fly fishing, Nymphing and Naturals that have become classics and has produced a series of inter- nationally acclaimed video tapes on fly fishing. Gary has designed the Ultimate Wading Shoe, which is considered the industry standard, and many other successful angling products. He is also a member of the The Order of the Jungle Cock, Trout Unlimited, United Fly Tyers, and an International Director of the Federation of Fly Fishers. For his conservation efforts, he received the first Lew Jewett Memorial Life Membership in the Federation of Fly Fishers in 1979.
